The Patel Center hosts annual programs for students from developing countries that use Tampa Bay as a laboratory for learning best practices in confronting water and basic sanitation issues in growing urban environments (photos from previous years below) –keep existing photos and identify with year and add another album from a previous year.
Through faculty and USF graduate student exchanges, joint research projects and lectures, this strategic partnership promises help create a world in which people manage their environmental resources in a sustainable manner —particularly in impoverished areas.The thriving partnership has resulted in an NSF Grant to send USF students to UNESCO-IHE labs, a fruitful relationship with the Dutch Government to address climate change issues through a series of workshops at USF.
