Undergraduate Global Research Scholars
Program
The Undergraduate Global Research Scholars program offers hands-on experiences for undergraduate students who want to be directly involved in applied research projects. Students will contribute directly to Patel Center projects by providing background information necessary for implementing solutions to problems related to potable water provision, sustainable economic activities, and urbanization/migration. Students will have the opportunity to conduct research in country settings where the Patel Center and USF faculty are engaged in applied projects.
In Summer 2008 and with the support of the Office of Undergraduate Research, the Center will support up to 10 undergraduate scholars to conduct research in one of the following countries: Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Mexico, or Panama. Successful applicants will receive a $2,500 scholarship to defray costs associated with participation in the Program.
For more information, including the application, please contact Dr. Rebecca Harris at 813-974-6906.
