Bárbara Cruz, Margie Dennie, and Joel Goodrick presented on global economics issues at the annual conference of the International Studies Schools Association in February 2008. Topics discussed included maquiladoras, multinational corporations, and ethics in the global business arena.

Melissa Mousseau, Rob Bailey, and Lorena Ortíz led a panel presentation on child labor and child soldiers at the International Studies Schools Association held in Chicago in February 2008. In addition to presenting current statistics and information, they presented educators with effective strategies to teach about these sensitive subjects.
